Dental implants are small titanium cylinders which are surgically placed into the jawbone, providing a permanent foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The porcelain crowns which attach to implants are beautifully esthetic and completely stable. Smiling with confidence is fully restored. The entire procedure is done in-office with local anesthetic ("novocaine"). The chance of complications, severe pain or disruption to your schedule is remote.
Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and smile.

Dental Implant Procedure
Dental implants are metal anchors which are surgically placed into the jawbone. The procedure is done in-office with local anesthetic ("novocaine"), and is not difficult or painful. Significant post-operative pain is rare; you can go to work the next day. The implant takes six months to heal, i.e. fix itself into the jawbone. For visible areas a replacement removable denture is worn during the six month healing period for esthetics. After healing, porcelain teeth are designed and attached to the implants. The entire procedure thus takes 8 or 9 months start-to-finish. It is a virtual certainty that the implant will last a lifetime.
We have never had a significant complication since introducing implants to our office in 1992. Never has a patient even experienced temporary numbness after the procedure, a common complication.
