Crowns
When a tooth has lost extensive structure due to repeated
fillings, fracture, or root canal treatment, it often needs the full coverage
protection of a grown. The procedure consists of removing all decayed and
unsupported tooth structure, creating proper form and angulations of remaining
tooth surfaces. An accurate impression is taken. The crown is then constructed
on an exact model of the tooth, and is generally made of a thin noble metal
base covered with a thicker layer of porcelain. The crown is then fitted
and cemented permanently.

Bridges
Bridges replace a missing tooth or teeth. They are supported on
teeth adjacent to the space which is being replaced. The teeth adjacent to the
space are prepared. Care is taken to remove the least amount of tooth structure
in the process. The bridge is constructed in a manner similar to that of a crown,
with a thin metal base covered by a layer of porcelain. Only the porcelain is
visible. The bridge is then fitted and cemented permanently.
